From the Olympic National Park to the Methow Valley, Washington is a gorgeous state with incredible variety! This fall I invite you to take a journey to create a series of paintings that capture some of the natural beauty through your personal interpretation in watercolor. Our work allows us to travel vicariously from the rugged coast, to Mount Rainier, over the North Cascades, and into the dry climate of Eastern Washington. Collectively, participants will create a portrait of Washington while having fun and expanding painting skills. We will focus on ways to shape bold compositions, develop color strategies and describe light quality in a variety of environments.

Note for Beginners: If you are not ready to invest in the set of pigments on the supply list, I have some palettes set-up with watercolor pigments that you can borrow. The supply cost for the pigments and palette would be $50. You will be responsible for bringing the other supplies on the list.
Open Studios
Building 30 W is a beautifully restored historical building where there are 30 artists working in a variety of media. We host a fall and spring Open Studios where the public is invited in to see the art and meet the artists.
